About Us!
We Are A Church That Wants To Passionately Follow Christ Together.
Who is The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps Church?
At The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps Church, we believe that faith is more than something we talk about on Sunday—it is something we live every day. We gather to worship God, grow in His Word, and encourage one another, but we also believe the Gospel should be seen as well as heard.
That is why our ministry extends beyond the sanctuary walls. Through food assistance, emergency aid, youth programs, music education, community outreach, Bible studies, and seasonal ministries like Angel Tree and Christmas assistance, we seek to meet both spiritual and practical needs throughout Rowan County.
Our Corps Values - Our Mission
Design
We are called to be brave in our faith and courageous in our service. Following Christ often means stepping into difficult situations and meeting people in their moments of greatest need.
Whether helping individuals facing hardship, offering support to those seeking a fresh start, responding to community needs, or sharing the Gospel with those searching for hope, we strive to courageously bring the love of Christ wherever it is needed most.
Development
We are called to be Conpassionate. Compassion is at the heart of everything we do. Jesus consistently reached out to those who were hurting, overlooked, struggling, and broken, and we seek to follow His example.
At The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps Church, we strive to show Christ's love through practical acts of kindness, caring relationships, and ministries that meet real needs. Whether providing assistance to a family in crisis, offering encouragement to someone facing difficulties, caring for seniors, mentoring young people, or simply listening to a hurting heart, we believe compassion opens the door for hope and healing.
We are committed to loving people as Christ loves us—with grace, understanding, and genuine concern.
Marketing
We are passionate about people because God is passionate about people.
At The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps Church, we invest in the next generation through ministries such as Sally Kids and Sally Teens. We encourage spiritual growth through worship, Bible study, fellowship, music, and discipleship. We support families throughout the year and seek opportunities to share God's love in practical ways.
Our passion comes from a desire to see lives transformed through the power of Jesus Christ.
Social Media
We believe every person has value because every person is created in the image of God.
Our mission is to encourage, strengthen, and uplift those who are facing challenges. Whether someone is struggling spiritually, emotionally, physically, or financially, we seek to offer hope, compassion, and a pathway forward.

Meet the Pastor
My name is Mike Anderson, and I have the privilege of serving as the Corps Administrator and Pastor of The Salvation Army Salisbury Corps Church. In this role, I oversee both the spiritual ministry of the church and the day-to-day operations of The Salvation Army's work throughout Rowan County.
My passion is simple: helping people discover a relationship with Jesus Christ, grow in their faith, and find hope through the transforming power of God's love. Whether through worship services, Bible studies, youth programs, community outreach, or personal ministry, my desire is to see lives changed and families strengthened through Christ.
In addition to serving as pastor, I am responsible for helping lead the many ministries and services provided by The Salvation Army in Rowan County. This includes community assistance programs, food ministry, youth development, seasonal outreach programs, volunteer engagement, fundraising efforts, and partnerships with local organizations that help us meet the needs of our neighbors.
