2025 Angel Tree Program

Who Are We

The Salvation Army of Rowan County has partnered with our community for decades to bring Christmas joy to children who might otherwise go without. The Angel Tree program is one of our most cherished traditions, connecting families in need with generous donors, businesses, and organizations who make sure every child has gifts waiting under the tree.

What We Do

Each year, families in Rowan County who are struggling financially can apply for assistance through the Angel Tree program. Children are registered as “Angels,” with their clothing sizes, gift wishes, and special needs recorded. These Angels are then “adopted” by donors who purchase gifts to meet those needs.

In 2025, we are excited to launch a new Angel Tree Sponsorship Program. Instead of financial donations, local businesses are invited to adopt 10 Angels each. As a sponsor, your company logo will be displayed on Angel tags distributed at Walmart and other public Angel Tree locations. This not only helps ensure children receive gifts—it also provides your business with a meaningful community marketing opportunity.

When It Happens

October 20thAngel Tree adoptions officially open to the public and to business sponsors.

December 8th is our DEADLINE for Return of the Angel Tree gifts.   This allows the Savlation Army and their Many volunteers ample time to put things in order and get ready for the Distributio Day.

December 17 and 18thThe Salvation Army distributes the gifts to families before Christmas morning from the Angel Tree Christmas Center.

Where It Takes Place

  • 2025 Angel Tree Applications Intake:  Will be at the Salvation Army at 620 Bringle Ferry Road, Salisbury, NC  28144

Angel Tree Sponsorships:  Local businesses have a special opportunity to sponsor Angels this year. We still have over 200 Angels that have not yet been selected—100 of these are from our general list, and 100 will be placed at Walmart. We would love to feature your business logo on the Angel tags, so when shoppers visit Walmart or other public locations, your business is visible to hundreds, if not thousands, of people. This is a meaningful way to support local children while gaining positive community exposure.

Angel Tree Adoptions: Online at https://tsasal.com/atsponform/ and in person at Angel Tree displays inside Walmart and other public locations throughout Rowan County.

Gift Drop-Offs and the Distribution :At The Salvation Army Angel Tree Christmas Center  (TBA)

Why It Matters

Christmas morning should be filled with joy, not worry. But for many Rowan County families, rising costs make even basic needs difficult to meet, leaving no room for holiday gifts. The Angel Tree program ensures that local children wake up to the joy of Christmas—with new clothes, toys, and the knowledge that someone cares.

By adopting Angels, you not only brighten a child’s Christmas—you also strengthen the spirit of generosity and hope in our community. For business sponsors, it’s a chance to do good while also sharing your company’s story through logo placement and a custom QR code.
